A blend of three plots - two mid-slope and one top-slope under the wood (Bois). Here Savigny is at its most refined, with the most intensity and depth, its smoothest, most velvety and most complete. Added to all this a warm, sunny, healthy vintage of 2018, wines richly pigmented, with expressive red berry aromas and succulent mid-palates, without the excesses of fruit often found in “warm vintages”. 2018 is a vintage which deserves a place in every Burgundy collection.
Deep cherry with garnet reflections. Mature dark small black & red fruits, black cherry, a hint of violet and clove. An elegant, persistent mid-palate with supple mature tannins and juicy acidity on the finish. Ageing beautifully, complex and expressive. Benefits from opening an hour in advance.
