A special, rare wine. Since its foundation in 1443, the Hospices de Beaune has been funded by donations, including vineyards, the resulting wines auctioned by Christies annually. Unique cuvée (parcel blends) which only the Hospices can produce.
Bright ruby red with a complex nose of wild berries, dark fruits, and cherries. The mouth offers a beautiful elegance, retaining the structure typical of the great terroirs that compose this wine. Solid dense fruit on the palate, a weighty wine with a long, sumptuous finish.
Perfect with sophisticated poultry dishes, roasted and glazed, or slow-braised feathered game. For the more adventurous, couscous or a tajine with meat or poultry. Distinctly flavored cheeses match its intensity
Pairs well with roast or slow-stewed feathered game; meat or poultry tagine; roast lamb; Epoisses cheese
